A well known sports and business personality in British Columbia, he was a multi sports star at the University of British Columbia and is inducted into their Sports Hall of Fame. Played professionally in the NFL and CFL including two Grey Cup appearances. At age 31 he became General Manager of BC Lions. He also sat for two terms as an elected Member of the British Columbia Legislature. He was a Cofounder of the Keg Restaurant chain in Canada, and a partner in bringing McDonald's restaurants to Canada. From 1981 to 1986, Mr. Capozzi was one of three original Directors of EXPO 86.
With Bob Pickell in 1973, he was National Masters Doubles Racquetball Champion and in 1974 won the National Masters singles title.
