Builder - Lou Moro

Born: Savona, Italy, April 26, 1918.Lou Moro

One of the most respected trainers in the game, not only in soccer but also in lacrosse. His career as a trainer started in 1942 with the navy hockey team and includes outstanding service to a number of Vancouver soccer and lacrosse teams, including North Shore United, the Whitecaps and the 86ers. He made the trip to the Soviet Union in 1960 as trainer to the national team, and has filled the same key position for Canada on many occasions since then. He was inducted into the Italian Cultural Hall of Fame (1984), the Lacrosse Hall of Fame (1975), the British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame in 1995 and won the Aubrey Sanford, B.C. Soccer Achievement Award in 1973.
