Women’s Advanced Coach Education Program

A strategic initiative to foster gender equity within Canada Soccer’s advanced coaching landscape. 

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE 

The AccelerateHER initiative will provide comprehensive support to women participating in Canada Soccer’s Advanced Coach Education Program. The program will empower and train a substantial number of women coaches. The program will also establish a progressive development pathway for women coaches, aligning them with the highest coaching standards in the country. 

PROGRAM DESIGN 

The AccelerateHER program will focus on offering support to women enrolled in Canada Soccer’s Advanced Coach Education Program.  

The program will be structured to enable the training of 85 women coaches to complete and obtain their Canada Soccer A, B, C, Children’s and Goalkeeper Diplomas.  

The program includes mentorship, resources, and guidance to help participants navigate the complexities of higher-level coaching.  

PROGRAM COMPONENTS 

Each coach participating in the Canada Soccer AccelerateHER program will receive: 

  • A bursary towards their education to reduce the financial burden of participating in Canada Soccer’s Advanced Coach Education Program 
  • Curated training designed specifically for AccelerateHER coaches 
  • Support from a coach mentor throughout the program 

APPLICATION DETAILS  

Women coaches interested in AccelereateHER and applying for the Canada Soccer A, B, Children’s or Goalkeeper Diploma can apply individually by clicking here.  

Applications will remain open until April 21st, 2024. They will be reviewed during April and May 2024. All applicants will be notified by email of their application status no later than May 31, 2024. 

Coaches interested in the C Diploma are encouraged to contact their Provincial/Territorial Member Association.
